WALO, a family business rich in tradition that is now being led by the fifth generation, has grown from a local road building company founded in 1917 in Switzerland to a general contractor in the construction industry with 2,600 employees and projects worldwide.

WALO is a specialist in the field of asphalt hydraulic engineering, dam cores, reservoirs, pumped storage and equalising reservoirs, artificial lakes, irrigation systems, canals, river banks, landfill sites, coastal protection and flood alleviation schemes.

With our broad service portfolio and state-of-the-art machinery, we offer optimal solutions for complex challenges in almost all areas of the construction process – from the initial feasibility study to manufacturing and commissioning.
