Career
Good construction and thus satisfied customers require precise work. All our employees, from unskilled workers to engineers, play a key role in ensuring that we achieve this goal time and time again.
The FIFA Museum building is located in the center of the city of Zurich, opposite the Enge train station. On a total of 3'000 m2 exhibition space, distributed over three floors, the world football association presents a unique collection of football history.
The start of the flooring work by WALO in the FIFA Museum was able to begin shortly before the summer vacations in 2015. Under great logistical and scheduling challenges, the RUB TAN outdoor sports flooring was installed in several stages as an indoor flooring with aesthetically high and functional requirements. An interesting job also for the experienced WALO employees.
The final result is more than respectable. WALO received great praise for the exact execution of the work and the quality, including the final acceptance. The museum was ceremoniously opened on February 28, 2016. It is well worth a visit.
Many differently shaped mounds were modeled with cement-bonded foam glass ballast and the cavity floor load of 500 kg/m2 had to be adhered to. After the intermediate acceptance and the final shape, the base layer with black rubber granules and the trowel (as a moisture barrier) could be created. For the second layer, the colored rubber granulate wearing course, each daily stage was precisely coordinated so that there was no interruption of work that would have resulted in the formation of visible joints.
We appreciate your interest in the WALO Group and will be happy to answer your questions.
